One new colour
drawing finished. It was my fourth attempt in colours. Because of the
scanner everything looks kind of flat, especially the background which
orginal colour was orange. I'm not very happy with the scanned version,
but i hope i can fix that sometime in some programm.

I'm very happy to
introduce my new drawing of my lovely friend Irene, who passed away
three months ago.
I've been working on it for quite some time, but i must say that it was
worth it. I really wanted to capture her sweet expression and i think i
succeeded in that. I added a few colourful butterflies, as she liked
them. How i wish i could show this one to her.. hopefully she can see it
in heaven somehow. :)

I finally finished
a new drawing of the actress Zhang Ziyi. It took me like three weeks to
finish, but i'm
happy with the outcome. It's made on A3 size, with a mechanical pencil
and a 4B and 8B one (Faber Castell).

One new drawing
finished:
I drew this 'thank you' rose
for my mentor who guided me during my internship, because i'm really
grateful for what she did for me the last five months. She has learned
me so much while i was there, she was always patient and because of that,
i was able to develop myself. But i also drew this just because i think
she's one of the nicest people i've met.
And, as this is the last day of this year, i'd like to wish you all a
very happy and healthy new year! Let's all hope it will be a good one.

Two new drawings
finished. I dedicate the first drawing to
my lovely friend Irene who passed away last Thursday. I started drawing
this one after i heard she wouldn't make it, which is only like four
weeks ago, so it all went very fast. I'm glad she doesn't need to suffer
anymore, that comforts me a lot. She deserves to have the rest she
finally has. I don't think i've ever put so many emotions in a drawing
before, but it's also the first time that there's such a big story
behind it.
I call this one 'Disbelief'.
I made the second drawing for her parents about two weeks ago. I
recently bought new colour pencils, so i wanted to try them out. For one
of the first attempts in colour i think i did well. The Dutch lines are
saying: "My thoughts are with you"
I know it's not a very happy post, but i still
would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas!! :)

Finally the Beatles
are compleet! Ringo Starr is finished now too. I couldn't find good
pictures of him, so it was
a real challenge for me to get his face right. But i'm satisfied anyway. A
friend of mine also put the four
of them together in one piece, so i'll post that as well. Oh, and the WIP's of the
Ringo drawing can also be viewed.

It's been a while!
But here's a new update ;) I finished a new drawing of my sister like a
week ago, but
i couldn't post it here yet in case she would see it. I didn't want to
take that risk, but here it is now.
I made it for her birthday. I thought it was such a beautiful picture of
her, so i had to draw it.
I'm also working on a commission drawing right now, i think i'll post that
one in a
few days.

While my scanner was
broken, i made two new drawings. The first one is a rose. It's the first
time i made a
detailed flower, i made it for my aunt and uncle who are the nicest people
in the world.
The other one is a little selfportrait. You can view them in the 'drawings
2007' section.

My A3 scanner is
still broken, so i had to scan my Tori Amos drawing in two pieces with
an A4 scanner.
As soon as my A3 scanner is fixed, i'll post the better version.

I added a WIP of Hayley Okines, a girl who has progeria. It's a
progressive terminal condition which mimics
many of the characteristics of the normal ageing process, but about 8
times faster. So a 10 year old progeria
child will have the appearance of an 80 year old person with symptoms
including baldness, arthritis and heart
problems, but with the mind of a 10 year old. I decided to draw her after
i saw her on tv. I thought she was so
cute and sweet and i admired her strength and her positive view on life so
much. I found a cute picture on her
